Women's Ministry

"The Purpose and Philosophy of Women's Ministry is ultimately for the glory of God"

Purpose

• Lead women to embrace the supremacy of God in all areas of their lives as they find their fulfillment and satisfaction in Jesus, their all-sufficient Savior.
• Equip women to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord so that they become like Christ in all they do.
• Motivate women to spread this passion for the supremacy of God through loving service in their homes, church, community and world.
• We study, teach and model the beautiful Biblical roles God designed for women. We gratefully operate under the guidance of the GBC Elder Board and our own husbands.

Philosophy

Teaching

• Older women teach younger women in prayer and the study & application of the Word. Titus 2
• We constantly teach the gospel to the lost and saved alike to remind us that Jesus saves us both from the eternal consequences of sin and from its daily power over us.
• We seek the Lord’s guidance for the appropriate balance of teaching for both new and mature believers and for day and evening ministries.

Service

• We encourage women of all ages to love and serve both their families and the Body of Christ according to their gifts. Titus 2, I Peter 4:10
• We enable such involvement by sharing the work load between many reasonably sized jobs. Fellowship We fellowship to spiritually and practically encourage one another and to build Christ centered relationships.

Leaders

• God equips leaders with vision, priorities and passions for their ministry. We affirm God’s direction and give leaders support and freedom to fulfill their calling.
• We prepare to replace ourselves by keeping records and by sharing leadership opportunities with others.
• We regularly ask God whether to continue programs or to use fresh ideas and perspectives to minister to the needs of our women.
